Dear Users, i´m trying to use CAESAR on a quite big scale. as a test i was extracting a small reach with 250*150cells. but with this as well as with the normal DEM i can see many linear "artefacts" in the graphic shown by CAESAR. the DEM was prepared using ARCGIS and SRTM3 data. It looks nice in ARCGIS... any suggestions? best regards, riccardo |

Hi Ricardo, Have you tried re-importing the file back into arcgis before it has even been used in CAESAR? Does it look the same? Are the numbers of cols and row the same as are in the header? In the DEM tab are you reading in the number of row and cols from the header of the ascii file or are you overiding and inputting manually? Tom |

dear tom, thanks for the advice. in the end i was using the raw data for preparing the dem. now everything is fine. riccardo |
