Hello Jiali, You can input a variable M value (the value that changes the size of flood peaks in the hydrological model) to represent how the hydrology may alter over time. This is in the same format as the rainfall data file: for example 0.006 0.006 0.008 0.009 Where each line is one hour of data Hope this helps, Tom Professor Tom Coulthard, Department of Geography, University of Hull, U.K. Phone: 01482 466065 Email: T.Coulthard@hull.ac.uk http://www.coulthard.org.uk -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To: Thomas J Coulthard Subject: jiali hello, Tom: in the version of 5.5, there is "variable M value file", and in the column of "Nmuerical", there is a "m"value ,too. Dear Prof., Could you please explain what is the meaning of Variable M value file in the Flies tab? Is it Manning's n value? Is it different from 'm' value at the Numerical tab? I am looking forward to hearing from you. Best regards, -- Tri P.D. Van |

No, its the same as the m value in the numerical tab - but allows it to be changed over time, Tom |
