Hi Tom

Thanks for all your answers.

I have now a question which can seem stupid. After running the programm with a lateral erosion rate of 10, I've obtained an elevdiff output file reveling a strong erosion in the bed and a high deposition on the riverbank.

I'd have predicted the opposite.

So, do the negative values in the elevdiff output file mean deposition?

I sent a mail to you with a printscreen of this file.

Hourly water discharges were : 4.4 ; 5.2 ; 8.5 ; 15.7 ; 27.3 ; 41.9 ; 36.0 ; 21.6 ; 18.2 ; 15.4 ; 13.1 ; 6.8 ; 4.4 [m3/s]

Thanks

Raphaël

Hi Raphael,
Your values show the opposite? Negative values (red) where the channel has been filled in, and green values on the bank (positive values) where there has been erosion? The +ve or -ve values are calculated by start DEM minus end DEM...

One thing to check - are you calculating shear stress (in the numerical tab) using velocity or bedlsope? (use velocity)

Obviously.
Thank you
