Hi

I have a few questions concerning the output files.

For all the raster based outputs (elevations, elev diff, grainsize, velocity, etc.) is there a way to save those files every certain number of hours or do I just have to manually extract them from the directory at the right time?

Can I stop a simulation and than by setting the run start time and taking the elevation DEM from the simulation 1 as starting DEM for the simulation 2 (resuming simulation on another computer)?

Thanks and have a nice day!

Yes - on the file tab, you can check the box 'unique file name' and put the time interval into the box on the left (save file every * mins). It will then give a unique extension tothe files. I believe its in hours (or days) so if you save every 1440 hours, then the files will be elev.txt.1400 etc...

Secondly - yes - use the elev.txt and grain.txt from the last run to re-start the new one. Its important to have the grain.txt file as well as this loads up the grainsize data...

Hi Tom

Thanks for the promptness of your answers!

I tried a simple simulation of 12 hours wanting to have output files every hour.
I checked unique file name and put 60 [min] on the left box.

However, I don't get 12 different files for every hour.

How can I get a waterdepth output file (asc) in a time I choose?

Thank you

Raphaël

Hi Raphael,
If you tick the box that says time series output - then the water and sediment output will be saved into a file (default name is catchment.dat) at the time step of your choice. If yuo want to save the waterdepth - or elevations of the dem, then I think the smallest time step it will do is every day - it will then give each file a unique name for each day, e.g. elev.dat.1 elev.dat.2 etc...
